March starts on the same day of the week as November, every year.
March is named after Mars, the Greek god of war. Lentmonat was the historical name used by the Saxons, and the eventual namesake of Lent.
March's birthstones are aquamarine and bloodstone. Both stones signify courage. The birth flower is the Daffodil.
People born before March 20th are considered Pisces and those born after March 21st are under the zodia sign of Aries.
